Exterior Restoration

How devastating to a home owner to find there was mold in their walls, especially a homeowner who does all the yearly maintenance. We were able to restore their home to its original beauty. We found several problems with the construction, including code violations or minimum requirements. We made sure that we did a complete protection with a new house wrap. Some of current house wraps are better than they were 15 years ago. We put both house wrap and felt paper,and then rain screen on top of that behind the brick with weep holes. I know some would consider this over kill, but brick is porous and driving rain gets behind all brick. We want to insure it has a way to escape so the sheathing and framing will stay dry. We had 11 inches of driving rain this fall and everything functioned as designed. Another fun project to feed my engineering side.
